I really was hoping I did not find it necessary to name the person who betrayed my trust and grossly insulted my honor, since I had believed him to be my best friend for 22 years, former FBI agent Geral Sosbee.
But seeing as I have
now found evidence that the betrayal has been promoted publicly by
him on social media, I must, on principle, stand up in my own defense
and document the truth for the public record. I have no idea whether
or not there are other such posts, but by my standards, one is all it
takes.
In this report
(January, 2024) I found it necessary to at least document the
betrayal, but chose not to name the “friend”.

accusations against Barbara Hartwell, and this total load of

ADDENDUM
Yet another provocation: This notice, which was constructed by Ramola Dharmaraj (without my knowledge or permission), grossly exploits the name of Barbara Hartwell, while also casting my name and work in a false light. She has been posting this false notice all over the Internet since at least 2018, including on social media, as well as posting it on her neighbors' doors (whom she publicly slanders, falsely accuses of being CIA, and falsely accuses of being in collusion with Barbara Hartwell), some of whom called the police for harassment and trespassing.
I have never, at any time, made any statements about "disclosure on targeting", nor about "mercenaries" making money off anyone's body. Nor has any such thing happened to anyone I know. None of this has anything whatsoever to do with me!
I am not involved with any of the named individuals on this notice, nor have I ever been a participant in any "targeted individual" groups, such as promoted by this liar. Former NSA Karen Stewart has accused Barbara Hartwell of being CIA, and a "CIA handler". As exposed here, former FBI Geral Sosbee has also recently promoted SWANS AGAINST SLANDER, Ramola's outrageous lies that I am CIA and a "slanderer". These are not my friends or colleagues! No, due to their promotions of false accusations they are my adversaries.
As obvious provocation, she recently moved this notice up to the top of her front page. AS IF to proclaim that I, Barbara Hartwell, have any involvement with her, her website, or her lunatic rantings. This is FALSE ADVERTISING.
For the record, I AM NOT INVOLVED in any way, shape or form with this woman or any of her associates, and I hereby publicly state my protest of the continued exploitation and defamation of my good name.
And unbelievably, this provocation continues...
She removed the above notice after her provocation was exposed...but now, she has replaced it with another version, with Karen Stewart's name removed and substituted with former NSA, John St. Clair Akwei, whose consent she also did not have to use his name, just as she did not have mine. And she titles this:

My name does not belong here and continues to be exploited by this gate-crashing opportunist, who knows damn well she is misrepresenting me, my name, and my work. This is NOT any form of "public education". It is in actuality public promotion of disinformation, at the expense of legitimate government whistleblowers, Hartwell and St. Clair Akwei! How shameful, how dishonorable, an absolute disgrace.
ADDENDUM 2: E-MAILS AS EVIDENCE
In
service to the truth about exactly what Ramola Dharmaraj has done,
and the major damages she has done to me (to my relationships with
others and to my personal/professional reputation) with her meddling,
gossip, lies and manipulation, I have decided to publish these
e-mails.
The
first is one I sent to my (then) friend, Geral Sosbee, warning him
about what this dishonorable woman was doing. The second is his
response, which shows that he seemed to understand my position and to
agree that what she was doing against me was wrongful. At least, he
said so.
During
this time Ramola continued to send whining, complaining messages to
him and others, making false accusations and trying to recruit them
into backing her foolish false accusations against me. This woman has
shown herself to be extremely aggressive in her efforts to try to
push her views on others.
I,
on the other hand, have a longstanding, non-negotiable policy: First,
my policy is always one of non-aggression. I mind my own business and
expect others to respect my privacy, and my right to establish my own
personal boundaries. If they fail to respect my rights, I do not
engage in conflicts with such aggressors. I warn them to stop what
they are doing, and if they disregard my warnings, I will simply walk
away, quietly if possible.
However,
if they take their aggression to the public square, by gossiping with
others, or publishing their malicious defamation, I will always,
always publicly stand up in defense of my honor. I will refute their
false accusations, I will set the record straight with the truth and
the facts. And I will furnish evidence to substantiate my position.

I
have edited these e-mails to protect privacy and have left out the
more personal comments. I have left what is relevant to the main
issue. However, since Ramola, through sheer aggression, managed to
force this issue into the public sphere, and since all parties
involved have made their positions public, I am invading no one's
privacy. Nor have I ever defamed anyone. I am stating facts for the
public record.

Hartwell to Geral Sosbee:
I
received a message today from someone who told me that Ramola had
sent her a defamatory message regarding me. I don't know exactly what
was in the message, but she was accusing me of being "controlled
opposition" or some kind of agent. This was shocking. I was told
that Ramola also sent a similar message to you, again I don't know
the content. I am naturally outraged that she would do such a thing
behind my back, making false accusations, especially to my friends.
Why she would do this, I don't know.
It
is important to me that you know the truth. I have not spoken to
Ramola since May, 2021. She had been regularly interfering in my
business, and meddling, presuming to appoint herself as an
intermediary, to speak about me to people I do not know, and had no
respect for my privacy or personal boundaries. She was using my name
in her articles, in connection with these people, even after I told
her that I wanted nothing to do with them, and asked her to never use
my name in relation to them, and to remove my name from such
articles. Instead of respecting my wishes, she denied that she had
appointed herself as an intermediary for me, discussing my private
business with them, which she had no right to do.
It
finally became clear that I could not get through to her, and that
she would continue to do this, against my wishes. So I just stopped
communicating with her. That was all. I did not want to get into any
conflict with her and I have never said one bad word about her in my
public reports since that time.
But
I was told by this same person that now Ramola had the audacity to
claim that I am "wrong" to publish certain things. It is
none of her business what I publish, or why. It is not her place to
decide what is "wrong", where I am concerned. And for her
to send messages to my friends complaining about me is very wrongful
on her part. Apparently she has taken exception to a recent report on
my website, which has nothing to do with her, nor was she named in
the report. And she is now threatening to address this issue
(whatever it is) publicly, using my name.
I
have done nothing whatsoever that is wrongful to her, ever. I only
chose to quietly walk away from a person who does not respect my
privacy or boundaries and was exploiting my name for her own agenda.
I
don't want you to be dragged into this, it has nothing to do with
you. And I'm sorry she has chosen to go to you with her unwarranted
complaints. All I can ask is that you please not discuss me with her,
or use my name publicly in connection with her. I need to put a stop
to this, before it becomes a real problem. If she chooses to make
some public statement against me, I will have no choice but to defend
myself, as a matter of honor.

At the time, I really thought he understood my position. I wasn't asking for backup. She was sticking her nose in my business and attempting to drag him in by driving a wedge between us. Unfortunately for me, she eventually succeeded.
I told him I did not want to make a public issue out of this. All I wanted was for him to know the truth, and to respect my wishes about not using my name publicly in connection with her, and to not discuss me with her. I made it clear that if he had a friendship with her it was none of my business. I just did not want my name involved. Period.
But she persisted in her aggression, and why he decided to betray me I probably will never know.
Since
that time, the public accusations by Ramola Dharmaraj against Barbara
Hartwell have become increasingly wild and bizarre. From my
observations, it is very clear that she is delusional and out of
touch with reality. She is accusing all her neighbors (none of whom I
know) of being CIA, some she claims to be in collusion with Barbara
Hartwell, plotting against her. She claims the Quincy Police are in
league with CIA. She claims her husband and daughter are “clones”.
When her husband made reports to authorities about her “declining
mental health” (she published the actual documents on her website),
she claimed that CIA, not her husband, was behind it. And on and on it goes...
Not that I think it would be of any interest, but anyone with a reason to be concerned about the escalating lunacy of her self-aggrandizing claims (including of persecution by CIA) may go to her website and see for themselves.
For the record, I actually feel very sorry for her. I am not hard hearted. But neither can I tolerate these baseless attacks on my honor and professional reputation. Whatever her mental issues are, there is no excuse for her outrageously reprehensible and injurious behavior. This speaks to character and to a lack of integrity, to lash out and blame others for her problems.
Most importantly, I need to make it clear (once again) that she has NO BUSINESS exploiting my name on her website, in her lunatic rantings.
