My Policy on Donations: Maintaining Personal Sovereignty
Of liberty I would say that,

Personal sovereignty can be defined in these terms: freedom from external control; autonomy; self rule; freedom; liberty.
Personal, Individual Sovereignty includes these God-given rights:
The right to privacy.
The right to defend your personal boundaries, AS DEFINED BY YOU.
The right to self defense.
I fiercely defend my personal, individual sovereignty as I always have done, always will.
Since my God-given rights are non-negotiable, as a Sovereign Child of God, I refuse to argue, debate or otherwise get into conflicts with anyone who refuses to respect my privacy, my personal boundaries or my absolute and unalienable right of self determination.
I refuse to make "appeals" to any government, state or federal, for any form of "public assistance". This includes food stamps, "section 8" housing, "welfare", medicaid, medicare, "Obamacare" (God forbid!) or any other government-sponsored "benefits".
I do not use a social security number. I do not have any bank accounts or credit cards in my name. I do not engage in any form of "commerce" which would place me under the jurisdiction of any government (or non-government) entity to regulate my personal/professional business or independent enterprises of any nature.
I refuse to be interrogated or to divulge private information in order to get any form of "assistance" or material support, no matter how extreme the circumstances of hardship, poverty or deprivation.
This applies not only to the government, but to private individuals who make donations to support me personally and/or my professional work, including as a journalist and government whistleblower.
I will not compromise my principles for any reason, under any circumstances.
Now, to the issue of donations.
1) I publicly solicit donations from this website, and ONLY from this website.
Any and all others are to be considered fraud and/or forgery.
2) Donations are not "tax-deductable". I have no connections with any 501C3 entities, nor any such "non-profit" entities.
3) All donations are to be used at the sole discretion of Barbara Hartwell, no questions asked, no strings attached.
4) Making a donation (in any form, including cash, postal money order, cashier's check, gold/silver coins, etc. etc.) does not "buy" the donor the right to: ask intrusive questions; discuss my personal/professional business with others; meddle in my personal/professional business; give unsolicited advice as to that business, or to pressure the recipient (me) in any manner.
My sole need, and my sole request is for MATERIAL SUPPORT; I have no need of advice as to my personal/professional affairs, nor will tolerate any form of interference, no matter how "well-intended".
5) All donations made free and clear, in the spirit of Christian charity or "love gifts" are gratefully accepted.
This policy is firm, shall remain firm, and applies to family, friends, acquaintances, and to the general public from which I solicit donations on this website.
