Legal Defense & Research Trust was formed in 1997 by Barbara Hartwell for the purpose of investigating and publicizing information on government crimes and corruption. It is not an organization, has no membership and does not offer professional services to the general public; only to individuals by private contract agreement; not to be solicited from this website.

Barbara Hartwell has no connection or affiliation with any government agency or bureaucracy and is not "employed" by any person or entity. Barbara Hartwell is a Sovereign Child of God and all professional business is conducted as such, under a common law trust.
